Brief Bio
After meeting Bobby Cure at a "Talent Show" in February of 1982, she was very impressed with the talent that his band displayed."They knew so many songs, and played them so well, and in any key I wanted," she says. Then one day, in November of that same year, Bobby's female singer took ill, and he needed a replacement. Of course, the rest is history. "I've experienced more things with this band than any other occupation I could have chosen. We've done very well in New Orleans, and have gained the respect of many notable individuals. I have a lot of pride, but I must say, I never thought would be here for 17 years!"
The Summertime Blues is the only band Robyn has ever been a member of, but is often called to sing for other bands when their female singer can't make it. She often also sings for many wedding ceremonies. She and the band have had many opportunies to perform with Aaron Neville. "What an honor, to perform Aaron's Grammy winning songs with him!" Robyn is now on her 17th year with the band, and currently resides in Violet with her husband Mitch, and her daughter Lauren.
